Certified Angus Beef partners with small family farmers and ranchers across North America. Certified Angus Beef believes that quality beef and exceptional animal care go hand in hand. Care for the animals, the land, and natural resources are always our ranchers’ top priorities. Our local Certified Angus Beef ranch is the Yon Family Farm in Ridge Spring, South Carolina.


Certified Angus Beef is the only beef certified for flavor. Angus is a breed of cattle, not a guarantee of quality, and not all Angus brands are the same. To quality for the Certified Angus Beef brand, cuts of beef must meet the 10 quality standards to ensure consistent quality and integrity in every bite. The selection criteria is so strict that only 3 in 10 Angus cattle meet the requirements to be classified as Certified Angus Beef.


The secret to the Certified Angus Beef brand’s outstanding flavor? Marbling. The little white flecks of flavor within the meat that ensure every bite is flavorful and juicy. Certified Angus Beef cuts are in the upper two thirds of their USDA grading categories. Which means that they are hand picked for the best consistent marbling. This is where you will see the largest differences from the beef you find in the grocery store to what we provide at High Steaks Butcher Shop.

Grass Fed Beef

Our grass-fed beef is raised by a cooperative of small ranchers fully committed to sustainable and ethical practices, organized by a sixth-generation family-run farm in Southern Australia.

The cattle are raised in a stress-free humane environment on vast pastures of nutritious grasses. The pristine remote locations offer fresh ocean breezes proven to be the cleanest air in the world. The Angus and English cattle breeds are selected for genetics that deliver consistent high-quality beef with rich full flavor and lush texture.

The grass-fed beef is certified by the Humane Farm Animal Care Association and their seal is a guarantee that every aspect of the program meets precise objective standards for farm animal treatment.

None of the grass-fed beef have been subject to antibiotics, hormones, the animal by-products that are all too common in contemporary meat production, nor have they spent time in crowded feedlots. This is better for the cattle, the ranchers, the environment, and ultimately, for the taste and quality of the beef.

Green Circle Chicken

Green Circle Chickens are Certified Humane, they are air-chilled and are regeneratively raised on a diet of surplus vegetables.

Raised the old fashion way by small Amish and Mennonite family farms in Pennsylvania; they are environmentally responsible, sustainable, and offer farm-to-table traceability. These chickens are Free-Range and Antibiotic-Free.

Duroc & Berkshire Pork

Duroc and Berkshire are two different breeds of pigs that you will find at High Steaks Butcher Shop. This pork is rich, juicy, and full of flavor providing a premium dining experience.

This pork has no use of fillers, preservatives, or added hormones resulting in all natural and outstanding quality pork.

The farms stick to high standards relentless quality requirements and a commitment to sustainability.

Lamb

At High Steaks Butcher Shop we source lamb from two places, Australia and from the Rocky Mountains of the United States.

Both sources of lamb offer similar features in that they have been raised free-range, with no antibiotics, no hormones, and have been 100% grass fed.

Both provide their own unique flavor profiles from the areas in which they have been raised. Consult one of our butchers on the cut that would best suite your needs.
